12 Days 11 Nights Korea Itinerary – Part 2

Day 2 11 Jan 2014 Travel from Seoul to Jeju Island

Jeju is just one hour flight away from Seoul and our flight is at 2pm, so we had our luggage left with namsan after we check out and bring backpack to jeju. Before our flight, we had our breakfast at one of the porridge stall. I ordered the abalone porridge to share is pretty big bowl.

We than take train to Gimpo airport to wait for our domestic flight via jeju air. Jeju Island is not as cold as seoul but is extremely windy. Tips: If you are going to Jeju, regardless of which season, do bring along your windbreaker.  They are famous of its plentiful wind, women and stones. We were told there is no beggar in Jeju and they produce tasty tangerines.

Upon arrival of the jeju airport, we head to the opposite road to take cab towards yeha guesthouse after checking with the receptionist in the airport. We settle down, we took a bus ride to Dongmun Public Night Market as recommended by the staff in yeha guesthouse and they provided us with map and bus stop location and bus number to head to our destination.

We than shop around at the underground shopping area and bought mask to be use at night, 900 won per piece.

Dinner Time

It was dinner time and we head down to the black pork street. On the way we saw push cart that sells snacks and there are 2 korean guy patronize the stall who looks really handsome like korean star.

We walk further down via the google map to the black pork street. We visit one of the BBQ resturant.
Black pork is famous delicacy in jeju, they are really tasty.

After dinner, we start to stroll and pass by their amusement park and walk further down towards to see the popular Dragon Head Rock. It was late and we decided to get cab to head back to our guesthouse. Since there is 8 of us, we need 2 cab. And by chance there are cab passby and we get to flag down the cab.

Back to the guesthouse, there are night time drinks available for guest. 1 for per pax. They also have board games available. So we chill and play the board game before turning in. We also request and plan for the next day day tour.
